My name is Rajiv Joshi, I am an activist and scholar currently working with the Global Call to Action Against Poverty - A global movement calling for urgent action against growing social injuste, poverty and inequality.

I am a Graduate of the School of Public and International Affairs at Columbia University in New York.

I grew up in Scotland where for a number of years I Led the Scottish Youth Parliament.

My passion is to help build a safer, more just world where all people are able to realise their potential and live with dignity and access to the full range of human freedoms without compromising the ability of the planet to sustain all forms of life.

SURVIVAL IS NOT NEGOTIABLE

As the G20 discusses the financial package needed to deliver a fair and binding deal at the Copenhagen Summit in December, we must call on our leaders to recognise that the issue of human survival cannot be a point of compromise. It is time for urgent action to protect people and the planet.
